Well its been a while, well more than a while but lets start FRESH.
Today marks Day 1 of a fresh start, last week I broke down and FINALLY got myself a gym membership. Today I start my new Eat Clean way of life. I purchased the Eat Clean Diet Recharged by Tosca Reno and pretty much devoured the book over the weekend. Everything that she said just clicked for me. I went out yesterday and loaded my fridge with FRESH, beautifully coloured fruits and vegetables and lean meats and stocked my cupboards with healthy grains and legumes.
Also, last week I finally broke down and got myself a gym membership. A friend and I are going to do shared sessions with a personal trainer once a week, hopefully starting this weekend and I am going to be doing cardio and additional training on my own 3 - 4 times a week.
I am really excited to get my body moving.
My plan at this point is to share what I am eating and my activity on a daily basis. My menu to start isn't going to be very thrilling as I am just trying to find my way in this Eat Clean way of life but I hope that it will quickly expand!
If you have any questions please leave me a comment and I will do my best to answer.
Trish
This blog is still very much under construction, please bare with me as I try and get everything looking Pretty!

Not how I pictured today!
Today was supposed to be a day filled with celebrating a little bow turning 4! Instead of gathering with out friends and family we are holed up inside the house! Last night at about 10:30 a panicked cry came from my little boys room, he had thrown up in bed, this continued until 230 in the morning. At about midnight I sent an email postponing the party! My poor little boy broke my heart, especially this morning when he weakly asked about his party.
Now through all of the yuckiness, inside I was beaming with pride! Why you ask? Well a good part of what I was dealing with through my PPD/A was a fear of dealing with the kids when they had a stomach bug, so much so that I was making myself sick on an almost daily basis! But last night? Last night I dealt with my sick boy all on my own! I cleaned him up and reassured him that he would be ok, knowing that he would and I would be too!
PROGRESS!

A Giveaway - Baby Wisp
Sorry readers, I am enjoying a wonderful vacation on the West Coast with my family and it is glorious!
I am offering a wonderful giveaway from Baby Wisp. Baby Wisp make beautiful accessories for your little darling. They were the first clips that I bought for Abby and she has been able to wear them since she was born!
They have recently launched their new Fall collection and I am so giddy, sassy bows and flowers and darling tutus (hmm, I think Abby may need one for her first birthday). Also check out the gorgeous wall art with attached ribbons for organizing all of your bows! They are available in stores but shipping from their website is easy and inexpensive.
I am giving away three blossom alligator clips and a set of snap clips to one lucky reader! What do you need to do, head over to the Baby Wisp website and leave a comment telling me what your favourite items are.
The deadline for entering is Saturday, September 4, 2010 at 9:00 pm MST. A winner will be chosen from Random.org.

Diapers, Diapers Everywhere!
When J was born we made the decision to use disposable diapers. We liked the convenience of them but soon after Josh was born he developed a very persistent rash which we ended up having to treat multiple times with an antibiotic cream that the doctor prescribed.
I suggested to the husband that we switch the cloth diapers, he was and is so against it, remembering the "old" days of folding, pins and bulky covers. I tried to explain to him the many options that are now available, such as BumGenius 3.0, AppleCheeks, FuzziBunz, etc. and even recently showed him new designs like the gDiapers and the Flip, too which he still turned up his nose.
Now that J is potty trained we don't have the rash issue anymore, but now A is in diapers and, while not as bad, she still has a similar rash to what J had.
To add to the rash issue, every week when we throw away such a huge amount of diapers that I really worry about the environmental impact of them all.
Oh how I wish I could show him the difference between cloth and disposables, and I sure he would make the switch but he is so stubborn. Urgh.
No real point to this post other than to whine that I wish we were using cloth. :(
